Do you think this is unrealistic? because I'm starting to think it is...?

Finding a group of musicians in kent, UK, that like symphonic metal...
i only know a bass player and thats not really enough to start a band!
is it just one of those genres that no one likes in england, or am i
just not looking hard enough?
