'Dead Island' Movie, Inspired By Gaming Trailer, Lands At Lionsgate

"Dead Island," the Techland and Deep Silver survival horror gaming that hit consoles captured, isn't completed using its global infection campaign. The gaming world, it seems, is not big enough to contain this zombie apocalypse: now, "Dead Island" is positioned to consume the silver screen too. Lionsgate has optioned the "Dead Island" movie rights from Deep Silver. But with the appear of things, it seems the main inspiration for your "Dead Island" film won't be the sport itself, nevertheless the preliminary "Dead Island" trailer that went viral taken. "Like the hundreds of journalists and countless fans who've been so passionate and vocal in regards to the Dead Island trailer, we too were awestruck," mentioned Lionsgate's Joe Drake in the news release, which notes that "a clip assists as [the movie's] primary creative inspiration." A clip is seen here just just in case you will need a refresher. The story in the gaming itself, clearly, has little to nothing associated with the "Dead Island" trailer's plot, which tales the best handful of moments from the son's existence in rewind. The idea of telling a "Dead Island" film from finish to start is kind of awesome type of the "Indication" of zombie movies, as it were but can it be a misstep to recapture that trailer's lightning? Can it be even possible to recapture that lightning? Seems in my opinion the film might be better offered feasting round the meat in the actual game, however, I have not carried out it really yet. For those who have carried out the sport already, any idea what: might be a clip enough to sustain an entire-fledged "Dead Island" movie, or should producers keep an eye on at the sport itself for inspiration? In the event you aren't familiar with the foundation material, take a look at 20 minutes of "Dead Island" action footage because of MTV Multiplayer: [via Entertainment Weekly]
